Crystal Henry is a multidisciplinary artist from New York, with a Caribbean background. She graduated from Parsons The New School of Design with her BFA in 2016, where she continues to work as a Youth Advocate with the Parsons Scholars Program. She is additionally a member of the Joan Mitchell Foundation Alumni Council, which helps to curate programming for Joan Mitchell Foundation Art Education Program alumni to grow their practice, while becoming better informed and connected to their art community. Working through photography, textiles, and mixed media, she explores themes of identity, history, and escapism, believing that the content comes first and the medium second.
