Site Use Inquiry

Some spaces at the Center are available for public use with priority given to artists and non-profit organizations. Any fees for use are determined on a sliding scale based on an organization’s ability to contribute and its mission of service to the community.  All organizations seeking to request the use of the Indigo building (or any other space) must first complete an Letter of Inquiry through the Joan Mitchell Center. Requests for site use are subject to availability and will be reviewed upon completion. In an effort to ensure a successful event and no scheduling conflicts, it is requested that your LOI use be submitted 30 calendar days in advance of your proposed event date. Once received and approved, a member of the JMC staff will contact your organization's representative to schedule a walk-through of the site, agreement and any specific requirements no later than two weeks prior to the event.

The Joan Mitchell Center does not possess the capacity to host the following types of events. Those not listed below are considered on a case by case basis:

  • Weddings and/or receptions
  • Birthday Parties 
  • Funerals
  • Political and/or campaign related events
  • Bar and Bat Mitzvahs
